1. Overview

Developing Future KAU Leaders of Global Impact

The Rhodes Scholarship is one of the world’s most prestigious academic awards, supporting outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to service.

This initiative is part of King Abdulaziz University’s internal assessment and preparation process, designed to identify, evaluate, and develop high-potential students interested in future Rhodes Scholarship applications. All submissions are reviewed by the KAU Rhodes Scholarship Committee to assess eligibility, readiness, and long-term potential.

Although the Rhodes Scholarship is awarded for postgraduate study, this initiative welcomes students at all academic levels, with the goal of building a strong and well-prepared pool of candidates for future application cycles. Selected participants will receive structured guidance, mentorship, and targeted preparatory support before proceeding to the official Rhodes Scholarship application.

As for the scholarship program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it was established in 2018 with funding from Mr. Muhammad Al-Aqeel, marking a significant national milestone in supporting exceptional Saudi talent and enabling access to world-class educational opportunities.
