Overview

The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz University is one of the leading health colleges, contributing significantly to the advancement of healthcare through education, scientific research, and practical training. The Faculty was established in Sha’ban 1424 AH (2003 AD) by a gracious directive from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, transforming the Allied Medical Sciences programs previously offered within the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences into an independent college, making it one of the four health colleges affiliated with the University Medical Center in Jeddah. The establishment of the Faculty was part of a strategic vision to develop the Kingdom’s healthcare system and to meet the community’s need for qualified healthcare professionals across therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative fields, aligning their training with advanced healthcare services and keeping pace with scientific and technological progress in all health-related disciplines. The Faculty features modern facilities and comprehensive academic programs focused on applied education and practical training, providing students with opportunities to acquire in-depth knowledge and practical experience to excel in their respective fields.
