Overview

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King Abdulaziz University was established in 1389/1390 AH (1969/1970) following the recommendations of an advisory committee of experts who submitted their report to the university's founding body. The establishment of the faculty responded to a comprehensive study that emphasized the importance of creating such a faculty to address the Kingdom's need for qualified scientific talent and to support state institutions with national cadres capable of contributing to development plans across various fields. The faculty offers a variety of academic programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on an interdisciplinary approach encompassing languages, literature, history, philosophy, and social sciences.
