About

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King Abdulaziz University was established in 1389/1390 AH (1969/1970 AD) based on the recommendations of the Advisory Experts Committee, which submitted its report to the University’s Founding Board. The establishment of the faculty was a response to a thorough study highlighting the importance of creating a faculty to meet the Kingdom’s need for qualified scientific competencies, aiming to support state institutions with national cadres capable of contributing to development plans across various fields. The faculty offers a diverse range of academic programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on a multidisciplinary approach encompassing languages, literature, history, philosophy, and social sciences. It aims to enable students to acquire intellectual skills and ethical values, preparing them to make a meaningful contribution to the development of both the local and global community, while committing to the advancement of knowledge, scientific research, and the preservation and celebration of cultural heritage.

By analyzing the current situation, opportunities and challenges are identified, and innovative strategies are developed to strengthen the college's position and graduate qualified individuals who contribute to societal progress, while ensuring adaptability to future developments.
