Department of Psychology

About the Department The Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, King Abdulaziz University, was established in the academic year 1414 AH. The department began admitting female students in the first semester of the same year, and the first batch of male students was accepted in the first semester of 1418 AH. The department aims to provide distinguished education in the field of psychology, with a focus on understanding human behavior and the psychological factors that influence it. The department offers academic programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, working to equip students with in-depth knowledge of psychology while developing their skills in analyzing human behavior and understanding the psychological factors that affect decision-making and social interaction. The department endeavors to prepare graduates who are qualified to work in fields such as mental health, psychological counseling, education, social institutions, and psychological research. Additionally, it contributes to the advancement of scientific research by encouraging applied studies aimed at improving the lives of individuals and communities.
