Overview

The Faculty of Human Sciences and Design was established in 1435/1434 AH (2013) due to restructuring the department that was originally part of the Faculty of Economics and Administration. After 38 years of academic development, the faculty was formed to prepare individuals in scholarly, educational, cultural, and social aspects, in alignment with the opportunities and requirements of the labor market. The faculty gained its independence based on administrative decision No. (3198/Q) dated (22/2/1435 AH), with a vision that aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in its three main pillars: "Vibrant Society, Thriving Economy, and Ambitious Nation." Amid rapid academic and scientific advancements, the faculty has focused on improving university performance in essential areas such as graduate studies, scientific research, educational affairs, and academic development, with quality being a core value of its work. The faculty aims to achieve regional leadership in family, community, and environmental sciences and seeks to enhance human, family, community, and environmental well-being through distinguished knowledge and research excellence.
