The Faculty of Science and Arts in Rabigh was established in 1429 AH (2008) pursuant to Royal Decree No. 24/49/1429, issued on 3/7/1429 AH by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz (may Allah have mercy on him), which approved the establishment of a university in Rabigh as a branch of King Abdulaziz University. The Faculty was among its core pillars and a foundation for fostering scientific research and academic development in the various fundamental sciences. The Faculty comprises the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, in addition to supporting departments such as Islamic Culture, Language Skills, Communication Skills, and English Language. Its mission is to provide distinguished higher education and to prepare scientifically and academically qualified graduates capable of serving the community and meeting labor market needs, through accredited academic programs, advanced curricula, and the recruitment of outstanding faculty members. The Faculty also strives to promote scientific research, introduce postgraduate programs, and build strategic partnerships with industrial and research sectors, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
