The Center of Excellence in Genomic Medicine Research (CEGMR) at King Abdulaziz University was established in 2007 as a leading research hub in genomic studies and their medical applications. The center focuses on investigating genetic and chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. It hosts advanced laboratories and specialized programs in pharmacogenomics, stem cell research, and personalized medicine. CEGMR also plays a vital role in training national talents and fostering research collaborations to support innovation and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
