In 1431 AH (2009), the Office of International Agreements was established as an initiative by the university's senior management to develop international cooperation activities and follow up on all matters related to international agreements. On 23/12/1431, corresponding to 30/11/2010, His Excellency the President of the University issued decision number 17285/Q, forming the first permanent committee to follow up on agreements. Subsequently, the university administration decided to create the Department of International Cooperation Agreements, which reports to the President of the University. The decision to establish it was issued by His Excellency the President of the University under number 12852/Q on 7/11/1438 AH, corresponding to 31/7/2017. The Department of International Cooperation Agreements aims to implement the strategies and mission of King Abdulaziz University, specifically its community responsibility, and strives to make the university a leader and pioneer in its local and international engagements in the field of international agreements. Since its establishment, its permanent committee has been working to implement this strategy and fulfill its executive, awareness-raising, and knowledge-related tasks, including meetings, workshops, and lectures. The Department of International Cooperation Agreements is open to any fruitful and constructive international cooperation proposal or project with any internal or external party in the field of international agreements. It welcomes providing its advisory expertise and studies to any local or international entity.
