Overview

The General Administration of Self-Financing at King Abdulaziz University was established on 21/9/1424H in response to the rapid development and increasing growth of fee-based educational programs, research, and consulting services provided by the university to the community. Initially, the administration was created under the name "Self-Financing Department" to oversee activities funded from sources other than the university’s state budget allocations, such as grants, bequests, revenues from university assets, and income generated from educational services, research projects, and studies provided by various university sectors, including the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education and the Research and Consultancy Institute. The administration started as the "Self-Financing Unit" by a decision of the University President (No. 123365/C). It later evolved into an independent department by a decision of the University President (No. 12826/C) dated 13/8/1427H, which appointed a general supervisor and defined its tasks and responsibilities. In 1428H, the University President’s decision (No. 11312/C) amended the department's name to "General Administration of Self-Financing." As part of ongoing development, the University President’s decision (No. 13372/C) dated 21/10/1437H was issued to organize self-financing activities at the university, and its name was changed to "General Administration of Self-Resources." It was subsequently linked to the Vice President of the University for Business and Knowledge Innovation. The administration operates according to the policies and strategies set by the Supreme Committee for Self-Financing Programs, chaired by the University President and consisting of the Vice Presidents and Deans of the relevant sectors. The department aims to maximize the utilization of available self-resources and enhance the sustainability of self-financed activities, supporting the university’s vision and mission.

Vision

Make greater use of new concepts to evaluate the performance such as total quality management and time management and restructuring where he practiced General Administration of Self Resources responsibility through the general strategy of the university and avoid the negative effects of long and short-term and focus on developing performance to reach the degree of excellence as part of the general plan for the University of careful provide an opportunity for employees to attend training courses to develop their skills.

Mission

Interaction between the university and the private sector with regard to educational programs with the resources and self-activating and scientific research programs and in accordance with the general frameworks for university policy through Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, and Research and Consulting Institute.
