King Abdulaziz University was one of the first Saudi universities to establish a Total Quality Program, as per the decision of His Excellency the University President No. 7727/502 dated 10/08/1421H. This program played a pivotal role in providing consulting, executive, and educational programs aimed at fulfilling the real needs of society, improving performance in all university sectors, establishing systems that enhance efficiency and quality of work, evaluating and measuring performance according to specific standards, and enabling the university to compete locally and internationally. As part of continuous development, the name of the Total Quality Program was changed to "Quality Management" by decision No. 3241/Q dated 20/3/1435H. To achieve integration and comprehensiveness in quality, accreditation, assessment, and evaluation efforts, the University Agency restructured the relevant departments by merging the **Quality Management, Academic Accreditation, and Assessment and Evaluation** departments under the umbrella of the "Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation" by ministerial decision No. 1272 dated 28/11/1438H. This integration aims to enhance the control and assurance of quality in academic and administrative operations, achieve synergy between various departments to effectively implement quality standards, and execute the university’s strategic plan projects in alignment with **Vision 2030**. Thus, the **Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation** has become the key driver in achieving academic and administrative excellence, further strengthening the university’s position as a leading educational institution both locally and internationally.
