This program is directed towards supporting applied and academic research within the framework of scientific research priorities that serve the Kingdom’s development plans in alignment with Vision 2030.
This program is designed to support and encourage young postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors to showcase their research creativity. It aims to develop their skills in writing research proposals, scientific papers, and managing research projects.
The goal of this program is to enhance both the quantity and quality of the university's scientific publications and improve its ranking by conducting a scientific study that is published in one of the indexed scientific journals (ISI). This scientific paper must not be related to a previous research project or academic thesis.
This program aims to audit and monitor data and systems based on the university's strategic goals and plans in the field of knowledge and scientific research. It also seeks to contribute to the development of knowledge, excellence, and leadership in scientific research in collaboration with prestigious universities and educational institutions worldwide.
Publishing indexed research is vital for increasing high-quality research output. In pursuit of its commitment to advancing research and development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education — represented by the Research and Innovation Agency — has launched initiatives to support universities and collaborate with other partners within the R&D ecosystem. Among these initiatives is the Institutional Funding Program, established to enhance research and development in Saudi universities. Accordingly, King Abdulaziz University, through its Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, has launched the Institutional Funding Program for Research and Development, supported by the Ministry of Education. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting researchers and advancing the research process.
