The General Administration of Security Services at King Abdulaziz University was established in the academic year 1428-1429H, following a decision by the University’s President to create it as one of the departments under the University’s Projects Agency. It also seeks to enhance the role of the security and safety department as a developmental, civilizational, and educational entity. The General Administration of Security Services is one of the key departments at the university, significantly contributing to providing a safe and stable educational environment. The administration’s tasks include ensuring the protection of all university facilities and buildings, as well as providing security and safety for all university members, including students, faculty, and staff. It is also responsible for implementing security plans to combat crimes, maintaining order within the university campus, regulating traffic, and providing protection for university events and activities. Additionally, the administration cooperates with local security authorities to ensure continuous safety across the university.
