Biography
Basim Alamri is an Associate Professor in the English Language Institute at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. He received his BA in English Education from Taibah University in Saudi Arabia and his MA in Linguistics from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. He also earned an MA in TESOL from Murray State University in the United States and a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies from the University of New Mexico in the United States.
His research interests revolve around topics related to L2 academic writing and publishing, including genre studies and corpus linguistics, English for academic and specific purposes, discourse analysis, , English for research publication purposes, and technology in the classroom.
He currently works as the Director of the Scientific Publishing Center and the General Manager for Scientific Journals and Books Administration.
