General Supervisor of the Transformation Management Office
Dr. Yoosef Abushark is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University (KAU). He currently serves as the Vice Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation for Measurement and Planning, the Director of the University Transformation Management Office, and the Director of the University Pioneering and Ranking Unit.
He has previously held several senior leadership positions, including Vice Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation for Development and Quality, where he played a key role in strengthening academic accreditation processes and advancing institutional performance at KAU.
Dr. Abushark earned his Ph.D. in Intelligent Systems from RMIT University, Australia, in 2017. His research focuses on agent-oriented software engineering, intelligent simulations for decision support, and reliability assurance in intelligent systems.
He has published extensively in high-impact international journals and conferences, with work addressing applications of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, smart healthcare, big data analytics, and natural language processing. He has also contributed to collaborative international projects on cancer detection, IoT system optimization, and Arabic text analysis using deep learning models.
Beyond academia, Dr. Abushark holds professional certifications from leading institutions, including Harvard University and the KPI Institute, Australia. Today, he is widely recognized as a national leader in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and academic quality assurance.
