About the Program

The Master's Program in Arabic Language is one of the specialized graduate programs established by the Department of Arabic Language and Literature pursuant to the resolution of the University Council at its second meeting, held on 8 Rajab 1422 AH (17 September 2001). The program was launched as part of the national initiative to strengthen graduate education and advance scientific research in Saudi universities. The establishment of the program was driven by the growing need to prepare highly qualified researchers equipped with advanced academic competencies in the fields of linguistics, literature, and literary criticism, enabling them to contribute to scholarly and cultural advancement while promoting the Arabic language in academic and scientific communities. The program also supports the objectives of preserving the Kingdom's national identity and aligns with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.
