Courses are registered through the Odes Plus portal. You need to review the study plan and check available sections before registration.

Add/drop dates are announced in the university calendar.

 

You can find your study plan on the college website under the study plans section, or via Odes Plus through your major-specific courses.

 

If courses conflict in your schedule, consult your academic advisor and submit a request via Odes Plus or contact the Academic Affairs unit to find a solution.

 

Minimum credit load: 9 hours; Maximum credit load: 21 hours (for graduating students, the maximum is 27 hours).

 

Cooperative or summer training can be obtained by contacting the academic department or the college’s Cooperative Training Unit.

 

Medical excuses or absences should be submitted electronically via the ERS system or by email within 10 days from the date of absence.

 

Requests for deferment or semester excuse should be submitted via Odes Plus within the period specified in the university calendar, with academic advisor approval.

 

The final exam schedule is announced on the Deanship of Admission and Registration webpage and the college website.

 

For issues with your academic record, first consult your academic advisor. If unresolved, contact the college’s Academic Affairs Unit.

 

Missed exams can be retaken if an official excuse is submitted within the specified period and approved by the department.

 

Difference between course withdrawal and semester excuse:

  • Course withdrawal: removing one or more courses while remaining enrolled in the semester.
  • Semester excuse: pausing all study for the entire semester.

 

Communication with faculty members can be done via their university email or during their office hours.

 

Minimum GPA to continue in the college: 2.75 out of 5. If it falls below, the student receives a warning and a chance to improve their performance.

 

Student certificates or enrollment verification can be obtained electronically via the “Student Verification” service on the university’s e-services portal.

 

If you forget your university system password, use the “Forgot Password” option on the Unified Login portal, or contact the IT Department.

 

Minimum GPA to graduate from the College of Science: 2.75

 

Course withdrawal or semester excuse is not allowed during the first year according to admission and registration regulations; special cases can be referred to the Academic Affairs Unit.

 

Specialization in College of Science programs is possible after completing all first-year study plan courses.

 

Program transfer is allowed according to the transfer criteria of each program, within the period specified in the university calendar and in accordance with rules and regulations.

 

Degrees awarded at the College of Science:

  • Bachelor’s: 10 programs
  • Master’s: 10 programs

  • Doctorate: 11 programs

Duration to obtain a Bachelor’s degree: 4 years (8 semesters)

 

Standard duration of study in the College of Science: 12 semesters

 

Language of instruction in all College of Science programs: English
