The Department of General Surgery was established as an integral part of the Clinical Sciences branch at the Faculty of Medicine in Rabigh and operates under the college's deanship. The department is committed to providing the best possible training for undergraduate students, aiming to equip them with the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and experiences necessary to diagnose and treat common acute and chronic diseases. The department aims to train students in the basic fields of surgery, including internal surgery, emergency surgery, and specialized surgeries that require precise skills and in-depth knowledge. The department is also dedicated to conducting scientific research that serves the community and contributes to public health by developing new therapeutic methods and providing innovative solutions to health challenges, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare and improving patients' lives.
