Biography
Dr. Yasser Ali Mohammed Saleh Baeshen holds the position of Associate Professor and Chairman of the Marketing Department at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, King Abdulaziz University. He is considered one of the academic competencies specializing in marketing, digital marketing, e-marketing, and consumer behavior. He obtained his Ph.D. in Web Design and E-Marketing and its impact on consumer behavior from Brunel University London, United Kingdom, in 2017. He also earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from the University of Wollongong in Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from King Abdulaziz University. His academic and professional career spans more than two decades. He has been working at King Abdulaziz University since 2010, progressing through the academic ranks until assuming the position of Chairman of the Marketing Department. In addition, he teaches Marketing Communication and Digital Marketing courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and provides academic supervision to students and researchers. Dr. Yasser’s research interests focus on digital marketing, electronic word-of-mouth, innovation, sustainability, consumer behavior, and green marketing. He has a substantial body of scientific output published in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, including both solo and joint research with significant scientific and practical impact in the fields of marketing and management. Alongside his academic work, Dr. Yasser has extensive professional and consulting experience. He has founded several projects in the field of e-commerce and has provided marketing and administrative consultancy services to a number of companies and institutions in both the public and private sectors. He has also contributed to aligning marketing practices with market requirements and digital transformation. He has participated in several local and international scientific conferences and has contributed to the development of academic programs and the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market needs, in support of achieving Saudi Vision 2030 and building a knowledge-based economy founded on innovation and sustainability.
