The Department of Geoexploration Techniques was established in 1436 AH /2015 as one of the specialized departments in the Faculty of Earth Sciences at King Abdulaziz University. The department aims to provide distinguished academic programs integrating education, scientific research, and community service, with a focus on modern scientific methods and technologies used in exploring natural resources such as minerals, oil, gas, and groundwater.
