Department of Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in Rabigh was established in 1430 AH (2009 AD) to meet the needs of Rabigh and its surrounding cities for well-prepared electrical engineers capable of designing, building, maintaining, and managing electrical systems. The Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the main departments in the faculty and holds a leadership position in industrial fields due to the vital role electrical engineering plays in technological and industrial advancement. Electricity and communications play a fundamental role in the industrial and engineering civilization that the world experiences today, making electrical engineering a core discipline in engineering faculties. The department offers two main focus areas: Power and Electrical Machines Engineering, and Communications and Networks Engineering, both of which are essential for meeting the labor market needs in both the private and public sectors. The department aims to graduate outstanding engineers capable of meeting global standards and prepares students for further education, whether inside the Kingdom or abroad.
