The department started the postgraduate program (Master of Curriculum and Thesis) more than twenty years ago (1404/1405 AH). The department developed the master's program with courses and a thesis to align with the huge scientific developments in this field, and began work on it from the first semester of the academic year 1426/1427 AH. Research from those theses has been published in specialised scientific journals around the world. Most of these graduates were able to pursue their higher studies and obtain their doctorate degrees from abroad or through the joint supervision system.
