Clinical Pharmacology

The Master of Clinical Pharmacology is a 2 to 3-year, thesis-based graduate program intended for physicians, pharmacists, biochemists, and recent graduates seeking specialized education in clinical pharmacology. The program combines advanced coursework with independent research to strengthen competencies in pharmacotherapy, clinical research, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenomics, drug safety, and evidence-based medicine. The curriculum consists of required and elective courses together with a master's thesis, totaling 35 credit hours. Master of Medical Microbiology

Microbiology and Immunology

The mission of the program is to provide comprehensive and cutting-edge education that guarantees enough knowledge, skills and attitudes enabling the graduates to participate in medical services, techno-innovation, and different research avenues. This mission will be accomplished through a variety of compulsory as well as elective courses in the fields of clinical microbiology, parasitology, and immunology. A comprehensive hospital laboratory training to identify pathogens and diagnose infectious diseases by traditional, immunological as well as molecular methods will be provided. All the courses of the program (except Biostatistics & Research methodology courses) will be conducted in the department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology (Faculty of Medicine main campus) and the clinical hands-on identification and processing of samples will take place within KAU hospital in the Clinical and Molecular Microbiology lab. Thesis research will be conducted in the research labs within the department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology.

Master of Science in Anatomy

ANATOMY

The program achieves the seventh specialized level of the National Qualifications Framework in Human Anatomy and combines theoretical study with applied practical study concerned with clinical anatomy of different parts of the body over a period of one and a half years followed by a research thesis for at least six months on a topic with a context related to the study. The program includes the study of research and clinical human anatomy, embryology and histology, and the branches of these sciences.

ANATOMY

The goal of this advanced unique thesis program is to prepare the next generation of lecturers of anatomy, Anatomy MSc holder, scholars, and inter disciplinarians focused on the anatomical sciences or anatomically intensive disciplines (i.e. radiology, surgery, medical imaging) as well as collaborative research with cell biologists and neurobiologists within the department.

The Department of Clinical Pharmacology established a Ph.D. program in Pharmacology in 1433 AH (2011 AD). The program commenced admissions in 1438 AH (2016 AD) with two students. The number of graduates is 10 at 2025, and the number of female graduates is 12.
