This mission will be accomplished through a variety of compulsory as well as elective courses in the fields of clinical microbiology, parasitology, and immunology. A comprehensive hospital laboratory training to identify pathogens and diagnose infectious diseases by traditional, immunological as well as molecular methods will be provided.
All the courses of the program (except Biostatistics & Research methodology courses) will be conducted in the department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology (Faculty of Medicine main campus) and the clinical hands-on identification and processing of samples will take place within KAU hospital in the Clinical and Molecular Microbiology lab. Thesis research will be conducted in the research labs within the department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology.
