The Department of Otolaryngology، Head and Neck Surgery is one of the specialized clinical departments at the Faculty of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University. It provides comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services through outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and operating theaters in collaboration with other medical specialties. The Department is staffed by a distinguished team of faculty members and consultants with expertise in the full spectrum of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, including Head and Neck Oncology, Otology and Skull Base Surgery, Neurotology and Balance Disorders, Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as Audiology, Speech, and Swallowing Disorders. The Department is guided by a vision of excellence in medical education, patient care, and scientific research in the field of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Its mission is to prepare highly qualified physicians with outstanding clinical and surgical competencies while delivering safe, high-quality, evidence-based healthcare. To achieve this vision and mission, the Department provides comprehensive educational programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students and offers extensive clinical training through outpatient clinics, inpatient services, and operating rooms, enabling students and trainees to acquire the knowledge and practical skills required for the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ENT disorders. The Department is also committed to advancing scientific research, professional development, and community service through specialized medical consultations, active participation in academic activities, and collaboration with healthcare and academic institutions at the local, regional, and international levels.
