Academic advising is a support service that helps students and monitors their progress in a way that contributes to achieving success and graduating on time.
Academic Advising Objectives

- Raising students’ awareness of academic regulations and study plans.
- Monitoring student performance and addressing academic difficulties early.
- Strengthening communication between students and the college. Providing financial support through the Awn program.
- Guiding students and helping them adapt to the university environment and academic life.
Academic Advising Services
- Appointing academic mentors and follow-up of students.
- Providing support to academically struggling students.
- Holding workshops on the role of the academic mentors.
- Receiving cases of academic failure from scientific departments.
- Follow-up with the mentors to discuss the reasons for the students' academic failure.
- Addressing the concerned authorities inside and outside the college in order to provide solutions to students.
- Welcoming new students and introducing them to the academic program and regulations.
- Organizing workshops and awareness programs on academic success, professionalism, and psychological well-being.
- Evaluate the quality of academic advising services periodically through student satisfaction surveys and performance indicators, and work to continuously improve them.
- Appointing student ambassadors to the unit to enable them to spread the culture of academic advising, direct their peers to the available services, contribute to communication between students and the Student Advising and Support Unit, and organize awareness events and programs.
