Overview

The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology is one of the Kingdom’s leading academic destinations in computing and informatics—an inspiring environment that prepares the next generation of technology and innovation leaders. The faculty’s story began in 1403H (1983) as a computing unit within the Mathematics Department in the College of Science. It later became an independent department in 1405H (1985) under the name Computer Science Department, before a Royal Decree established the faculty in 1426H (2006). Today, the faculty is home to four academic departments: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity. It offers modern, academically accredited programs recognized by national and international accreditation bodies, across all study levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), combining strong scientific foundations with practical, hands-on learning.
