The Practical Training Unit at the College of Arts and Humanities seeks to fulfill the College's core objectives by providing applied field opportunities that connect students with professional realities, thereby supporting educational quality and cultivating qualified competencies of an applied nature.
Vision
For the Practical Training Unit to serve as a model for achieving educational quality within the College of Arts, through the integration of field training with academic programs and the strengthening of professional partnerships in service of the community.
Objectives of practical training
- Enabling the student to apply the knowledge and skills acquired through the academic program within a practical field setting.
- Linking the theoretical dimension of knowledge with its applied dimension, thereby reinforcing the student's holistic perspective.
- Encouraging students to acquire experience that enhances their employment prospects and readiness to enter the labor market.
- Refining the student's practical skills—including oral communication and the capacity to interact effectively with others—within the context of a real-world work environment.
- Developing the student's capacity for effective communication and the building of positive relationships with work teams.
- Encouraging the student toward self-critique and performance evaluation, with the aim of advancing their level of professional competence.
- Equipping the trainee with teamwork skills and encouraging engagement in community service and field-based volunteer work.
