The Department of Visual and Audio Production at King Abdulaziz University was established in 1433 AH. In the academic year 1440 AH, the University Council approved renaming the department from the Department of Directing and Design to the Department of Visual and Audio Production. The department aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to produce and edit visual and audio content efficiently and professionally. It focuses on teaching students how to use modern techniques in video production, audio, and broadcasting, as well as developing their skills in photography, editing, and artistic direction. Through specialized educational programs, students learn how to produce television and radio programs, create documentaries, and execute media campaigns using multimedia. The department aims to enable students to work in various media fields, including film production, television production, radio, and digital media, while fostering their creative and critical thinking to improve the quality of media production.
