About the Department The Department of Journalism and Digital Media at King Abdulaziz University was established in 1433 AH based on administrative decision No. 24158/Q dated 30/11/1433 AH. In the academic year 1440 AH, the University Council approved renaming the department to the Department of Journalism and Digital Media. The department aims to prepare qualified professionals to work in the fields of journalism and digital media. It focuses on providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for working in traditional journalism and digital media, including online journalism, social media, interactive journalism, and modern content production techniques. Through specialized educational programs, students learn how to write news, conduct journalistic investigations, manage digital content, and use modern digital tools in journalism and media. The department also aims to develop students' critical and creative thinking skills, enabling them to tackle contemporary challenges in the ever-evolving digital media world.
