Faculty of Arts and Humanities Conducts Successful Evacuation Drill in Three Minutes Under Supervision of the Emergency and Disaster Center

On the morning of Wednesday, 14 October 2026, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King Abdulaziz University carried out an emergency evacuation drill at the Faculty building (Building 112), under the supervision of the University’s Emergency and Disaster Center. The drill forms part of the Faculty’s efforts to raise the level of preparedness and strengthen safety procedures within the university environment.

The drill involved implementing evacuation procedures, using emergency exits, and proceeding to designated assembly points, reflecting the importance of practical training in enhancing response speed and the handling of emergency situations.

The drill was successful, with the evacuation completed within three minutes, with the participation of Faculty members, including teaching staff, administrative employees, and students. The exercise is part of the Faculty’s efforts, in cooperation with the Emergency and Disaster Center, to entrench a culture of safety and prevention and to raise the level of readiness and response to emergencies, thereby contributing to a safe educational and working environment for all of its members.
