ASTRONOMY AND SPACE SCIENCE

The Astrophysics Bachelor’s Program, established in 1976, is designed to produce highly qualified graduates with strong scientific preparation for careers in education, theoretical and observational astronomy research, and professional practice in space science and its applications. The program focuses on the fundamental and applied principles of physics and astronomy to deepen understanding of natural and cosmic phenomena through scientific and quantitative methods. Students gain a strong theoretical and practical foundation while developing analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. The main objective of the program is to graduate scientifically competent students who are prepared to pursue advanced studies or work in physics, astronomy, space science, education, and research related fields.
