Partnerships and Agreements

The Faculty of Science at King Abdulaziz University seeks to strengthen its academic and research standing through impactful local and international partnerships and cooperation agreements. Among the most prominent is a research collaboration with the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, aimed at supporting cancer and genetics research, facilitating faculty and postgraduate student exchanges, and benefiting from advanced research laboratories. The faculty has also established a partnership with the University of South Florida through the Faculty of Meteorology, Environment, and Arid Land Agriculture, involving joint research programs in environmental sciences and water resource management, as well as academic exchanges and scientific publications. A memorandum of understanding with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) supports strategic research collaboration in areas such as cancer, renewable energy, and desert agriculture, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The faculty also maintains international academic supervision partnerships with prestigious universities in the United Kingdom, including Manchester Metropolitan, Oxford, and Bradford, to support postgraduate programs and strengthen academic ties. Furthermore, through Wadi Jeddah Company—the university’s investment arm—the faculty supports innovation and scientific research by establishing a clinical research center and engaging in technological partnerships in molecular imaging, energy, and knowledge sectors. Collectively, these partnerships enable the faculty to expand its research scope and solidify its position as a distinguished scientific and research hub both locally and internationally, in line with national development goals and Vision 2030.
