Department of Public Health Nursing

The Department of Public Health Nursing at King Abdulaziz University was established on 7/10/1434 AH (corresponding to 25/8/2012) by Royal Decree No. 5088/M, dated 7/8/1434 AH, as one of the core academic departments within the Faculty of Nursing. The department aims to prepare qualified nursing professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to provide comprehensive healthcare focused on disease prevention and the promotion of public health in the community. The department seeks to develop students both academically and professionally by enhancing their skills in providing preventive and therapeutic care, as well as supporting mental and social health in line with the community's health needs. It offers a range of specialized academic programs designed to improve student's skills in the field of public health, using the latest tools and techniques in clinical training, such as simulation and practical applications in hospitals and healthcare centers. The department also focuses on developing students' abilities in leadership and health management, emphasizing the importance of teamwork to improve public healthcare services. Through its educational programs and research, the Department of Public Health Nursing aims to enhance community health by providing comprehensive preventive healthcare, contributing to an improved quality of life and the overall well-being of individuals in society.
