Academic Advising
The Faculty of Maritime Studies seeks to provide a supportive educational and academic environment for students by offering integrated support and guidance services aimed at enhancing mental well-being, academic success, and life skills development. These services are designed to help students overcome psychological and academic pressures, prevent and address academic and behavioral challenges in positive ways, and achieve psychological, mental, and academic balance throughout their studies.
The services also include monitoring cases of absence and academic underperformance, organizing guidance programs, specialized courses and workshops, as well as conducting individual and group sessions to help students improve their academic performance and develop their personal skills.
Key Services Provided:
Reviewing absence excuses submitted Electronically through the Electronic Requests System (ERS).
Reviewing requests for study withdrawal through the Electronic Requests System (ERS).
Communicating with the academic advisor via the Electronic Requests System (ERS).
Guidance and counseling services: in-person, via WhatsApp, phone calls, or email.
