The Faculty of Marine Studies at King Abdulaziz University is a leading institution dedicated to the development of education and research in marine sciences and technologies. The Department of Marine Studies was established on 28/12/1411 AH and was later approved to be transformed into the Faculty of Marine Studies in the academic year 1430/1429 AH. The faculty offers specialized programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on areas such as marine navigation, port operations, marine engineering, and marine environmental studies. With access to advanced simulators, training vessels, and expert faculty members, students gain practical experience and theoretical knowledge that prepare them for excellence in the dynamic maritime industry. The faculty emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and global standards, preparing graduates to take on leadership roles in maritime operations, research, and policy development.

High-quality global education and training in the fields of hydrographic surveying, maritime navigation, marine engineering, ports, and maritime transport in accordance with university regulations and the standards of international organizations (IMO, IHO, and UNCTAD) that grant international certification, and in line with the needs of development plans and the labor market in the maritime transport and hydrographic surveying industry in Saudi Arabia.
