The Faculty of Maritime Studies at King Abdulaziz University is a distinguished academic center specializing in preparing qualified national competencies in the fields of maritime transport, marine surveying, navigation, marine engineering, and port management. The faculty was established in response to the growing needs of the maritime transport sector at the local, regional, and international levels, in alignment with the national development plans and Saudi Vision 2030. It offers academic and professional programs that comply with international standards and certifications, supported by intensive practical training to ensure graduates are fully prepared to work on board ships, in ports, and within maritime companies. The faculty also aims to contribute to the development of the maritime transport industry through scientific and applied research, the provision of specialized consultancy, and the establishment of strategic partnerships with relevant national and international bodies. The faculty takes pride in its role in enhancing the Kingdom’s position on the global maritime education map and contributing to the national economy, considering maritime transport as one of its key pillars.

High-quality global education and training in the fields of hydrographic surveying, maritime navigation, marine engineering, ports, and maritime transport in accordance with university regulations and the standards of international organizations (IMO, IHO, and UNCTAD) that grant international certification, and in line with the needs of development plans and the labor market in the maritime transport and hydrographic surveying industry in Saudi Arabia.
