The Faculty of Environmental Sciences at King Abdulaziz University believes that its social responsibility is an integral part of its educational and research mission. Through its programs and initiatives, the faculty seeks to serve the community and prepare specialized professionals who contribute to environmental protection and achieve environmental sustainability, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The faculty focuses on strengthening its role in promoting environmental awareness and the importance of conserving natural resources and improving quality of life. The faculty’s efforts include organizing awareness and educational programs in areas such as environmental sciences, waste management, climate change, and natural resource protection, in addition to offering workshops and training courses for students and community members on sustainability practices, biodiversity preservation, and pollution reduction. The faculty also supports volunteer initiatives that contribute to environmental cleanup and promote responsible environmental practices, while providing students with practical opportunities in environmental and field projects that enhance their scientific, professional, and social skills. The faculty works on building strategic partnerships with environmental, governmental, and community institutions to maximize the impact of its programs, whether through advisory studies or joint educational and awareness initiatives.
