Biography

In line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes empowering women and enhancing their role in national development, and as part of King Abdulaziz University’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities in specialized scientific fields, the opening of the Female Section at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences represents a significant addition to the progress of environmental education in the Kingdom. The Faculty of Environmental Sciences is one of the leading faculties in the Kingdom in the field of environmental protection and sustainability, comprising four specialized academic departments that cover various areas of environmental sciences. In the academic year 1446 AH, the Female Section was inaugurated to welcome its first cohort of students in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, within a modern educational environment equipped with advanced laboratories and up-to-date curricula that keep pace with the latest developments in the field. The Female Section aims to prepare distinguished female graduates capable of making impactful contributions to environmental protection, supporting sustainable development initiatives, and participating in environmental innovation, in alignment with the Kingdom’s ambitious vision for a thriving environment, a vibrant society, and a prosperous economy.
