The Department of Special Education is an academic department specializing in studying and offering educational programs aimed at meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities or special needs. The department focuses on developing teaching and guidance skills for individuals with intellectual, physical, auditory, visual disabilities, or psychological disorders, through the application of specialized educational methods. Students are trained in techniques for assessing and evaluating individuals with special needs based on the latest approaches, in addition to being familiar with modern foreign terminology in the field of special education. The department also seeks to apply the latest theories and principles of integration strategies, providing students with the skills to deal with individuals with severe and multiple disabilities. This includes equipping students with research methodology skills used in the field of special education and familiarizing them with the educational, psychological, and neurological aspects of individuals with special needs.
