he Department of Foundations of Education is one of the departments of the College of Education and was established on 25/3/1437 AH. It is considered one of the core departments in colleges of education due to its focus on principles and foundations that benefit all educational departments. The department strives for excellence at both the local and international levels and aims to prepare scientific and professional cadres in educational fields. It seeks to provide learners with scientific and educational knowledge and skills, offer educational consultations, and conduct scientific research. The department also contributes to achieving the college’s vision, mission, and objectives, and to strengthening cooperation with local and international institutions in the field of education. The department has introduced a Master’s program in Islamic Education under the coursework-and-thesis system. Approval was issued by the University Council in its fourth meeting held on 19/6/1440 AH, and the program obtained occupational classification from the Ministry of Civil Service on 6/1/1441 AH.
