Management Information Systems (MIS) is a core discipline underpinning contemporary business across all sectors and organizational levels. The effective utilization of information systems and technologies has become essential for supporting planning, control, and decision-making, as well as enhancing operational efficiency in today’s dynamic and complex business environments. Accordingly, the Department of Management Information Systems plays an active role in supporting national development plans by preparing qualified graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to understand, apply, and leverage modern information systems in serving business and development objectives at the individual, organizational, and national levels. MIS graduates are distinguished by a balanced combination of managerial knowledge and technical competencies, enabling them to effectively bridge the gap between business requirements and technological solutions. The program emphasizes developing students’ abilities in analyzing, designing, and developing information systems, and examining their applications across key business management areas, including operations and production management, human resources, financial management and accounting, marketing, and e-commerce. In response to labor market needs, the department delivers its programs in English to enhance graduates’ professional readiness and enable them to contribute effectively to public and private sector organizations, while supporting digital transformation and the knowledge-based economy.
