In alignment with King Abdulaziz University’s commitment to continuous institutional development, and the College of Economics and Administration’s dedication to aligning its academic programs with national requirements and international accreditation standards, the Department of Health Services and Hospital Administration plays a central role in preparing and developing national competencies in health administration, in accordance with the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) and the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). The Department provides esteemed undergraduate and postgraduate programs crafted around specific and measurable learning outcomes. These programs aim to improve administrative and leadership skills while boosting competencies in planning, quality, governance, sustainability, performance management, and health transformation, all aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program. The Department places strong emphasis on applied research addressing health system priorities, community engagement, and the development of strategic partnerships with healthcare, regulatory, and accreditation bodies at both local and international levels, in support of continuous improvement and quality assurance. Established as an independent academic department on 19 March 1430H, the Department is recognized as one of the leading academic units in Health Services and Hospital Administration among Saudi universities, and continues to advance its academic programs and educational outcomes in support of an effective and sustainable national healthcare system.
