Since its establishment in 1392H (1972 AD), the Accounting Department has occupied a strategic position as a cornerstone of the Faculty of Economics and Administration at King Abdulaziz University, playing a pivotal role in enriching accounting thought and advancing professional practices within the Kingdom. The Department is distinguished by its comprehensive academic ecosystem, offering degrees ranging from Bachelor’s to PhD levels, including specialized Master’s programs (academic, professional, and executive). These programs are designed according to the latest global standards to align with the dynamic changes of the business environment. In alignment with the Faculty's strategic directions, the Department is committed to enhancing institutional sustainability and developing self-generated resources, while directing its research output to serve national priorities. The Department’s mission focuses on preparing human capital equipped with advanced analytical skills and deep-rooted professional values, thereby effectively contributing to the public and private sectors and supporting the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.
