Department of Architecture

The Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, King Abdulaziz University, is specialized in the study and design of the built environment. It was established in 1396 AH as part of the School of Environmental Design at the time. The department aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design innovative and functional architectural buildings and spaces that meet the needs and aspirations of society. It also fosters critical and creative thinking among students by integrating architectural theories with practical applications in real design projects. The department offers an outstanding academic program that focuses on developing technical and artistic skills in architectural design, urban planning, and the study of the impact of the built environment on individuals and society. It provides distinguished academic programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, preparing students to address contemporary architectural challenges and contribute to the development of the built environment in alignment with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's future vision.
