Department of Radiology Sciences

The Department of Radiological Sciences was established in 2004 as part of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz University. The department aims to graduate specialists in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging. The department provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to use modern medical imaging techniques, such as X-ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Computed Tomography (CT), along with other advanced technologies that contribute to accurate medical diagnoses. The department is dedicated to preparing highly skilled radiology specialists who can provide accurate and safe diagnostic services, support physicians in diagnosing diseases, and monitor patients’ conditions. It also strives to graduate well-trained national professionals, meeting the healthcare sector’s needs in hospitals, medical laboratories, research centers, and medical equipment companies. The Department of Radiological Sciences plays a crucial role in the medical sector, contributing to various specialties such as oncology, orthopedic surgery, cardiology, and general surgery.
