The Department of Clinical Nutrition was established in 2003 / 1424 AH within the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz University, with the aim of preparing specialists in the field of therapeutic nutrition, equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide integrated nutritional care to patients. The department focuses on applying nutrition principles in patient care by assessing their nutritional status and designing and implementing appropriate therapeutic dietary plans. The department aims to improve patients' health through proper nutrition and support physicians in diagnosing and treating health conditions that require nutritional interventions, such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, metabolic disorders, and malnutrition. Specialists in the department provide nutritional counseling to patients and monitor the impact of dietary plans on their overall health.
