About the Department The Department of oral and Maxillofacial Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Dentistry is one of the core departments specializing in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the loss or deformity of oral, maxillofacial, and facial tissues. The department aims to provide specialized academic programs to prepare qualified professionals in dental prosthetics, supported by theoretical foundations and modern practical approaches in prosthodontic sciences, enabling them to perform their duties successfully and with excellence. This includes advanced techniques in dental restoration and cosmetic prosthetics. Students are also trained to manage complex cases requiring surgical reconstruction of damaged tissues. The department comprises two divisions: Fixed Prosthodontics and Removable Prosthodontics. It focuses on rehabilitating the oral, facial, and maxillofacial regions through respective and reconstructive surgeries, dental implants, fixed and removable prostheses, and prosthetic appliances for the face and jaw. The department is dedicated to advancing scientific research in prosthodontics and maxillofacial rehabilitation, contributing to the improvement of diagnostic and treatment methods, and developing innovative techniques in dental prosthetics, cosmetic surgery, and reconstructive procedures.
