Responsibilities of the Vice-Deanship for Educational Affairs:
- Supervising the affiliated units and monitoring their performance.
- Chairing related committees and submitting their reports to the concerned authorities.
- Overseeing the academic plan courses to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and reviewing them regularly.
- Supervising the preparation of course schedules in coordination with departments, other colleges, and the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.
- Supervising admissions and registration processes and preparing graduate lists.
- Following up on the implementation of admission, transfer, and course equivalency regulations.
- Supervising requests for postponement, withdrawal from study, and add/drop procedures in accordance with regulations and policies.
- Supervising the preparation of student deprivation (denial of exam) lists.
- Overseeing academic advising and providing guidance and support to students.
- Preparing final examination schedules in coordination with departments and the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, forming committees, and monitoring their work.
- Supervising the internship training program for male and female dentists.
- Providing an appropriate learning environment by equipping classrooms, laboratories, and educational facilities.
- Coordinating with department chairs and faculty members to achieve academic program objectives and improve learning outcomes.
- Developing academic initiatives and participating in academic committees within and outside the university regarding educational affairs.
- Representing the faculty in forums and meetings related to educational affairs.
- Preparing the annual report on the performance of the Vice-Deanship, its units, and committees.
- Supporting the development of students’ personal and professional (soft) skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, in line with labor market needs, and integrating them into academic and extracurricular activities.
