The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz University believes that its social responsibility is an integral part of its educational and research mission. Through its programs and initiatives, the faculty seeks to serve the community and prepare specialized professionals who contribute to the development of medical and applied sciences and improve the quality of healthcare, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The faculty focuses on strengthening its role in raising health awareness and providing educational and practical services that support the healthcare sector and the community at large. The faculty’s efforts include organizing awareness and educational programs in areas such as medical laboratories, radiological sciences, public health, and modern medical technologies, in addition to offering workshops and training courses for students and community members on the latest scientific and technical methods in the medical field, disease prevention, and enhancement of practical and health skills. The faculty also supports volunteer initiatives that contribute to providing healthcare services to the community, while offering students practical opportunities in hospitals and medical laboratories that help develop their professional and social skills. The faculty works on building strategic partnerships with healthcare and educational institutions to maximize the impact of its programs, whether through advisory studies or joint educational and training initiatives. Through these efforts, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility as a cornerstone of sustainable development, and to its active contribution in supporting healthcare and enhancing scientific and medical awareness within the local and national community.
