
The 50th anniversary of the university's founding
His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud presided over the celebration of King Abdulaziz University’s 50th anniversary and laid the foundation stone for new university projects on Wednesday, 18 Sha’ban 1437 AH, at the King Faisal Conference Center, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah, as well as other royals, ministers, and distinguished guests.
The celebrations included the inauguration of several new university projects and the honoring of prominent academic figures and former university directors in recognition of their significant contributions to the university’s development.
The university also awarded His Majesty an honorary doctorate in recognition of his efforts to promote Islamic unity and serve the causes of the nation.
These celebrations reflect the university’s commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth for students, reinforcing King Abdulaziz University’s status as a leading academic and educational institution in the Kingdom
