Sports City

The University Sports City offers a variety of sports and recreational activities, enhancing social interaction among the university community, with a focus on providing an inclusive and safe environment for practicing sports. The Sports City at King Abdulaziz University is one of the most prominent university sports facilities in Saudi Arabia, offering a comprehensive range of facilities and sports activities that meet the needs of the university community, including students, faculty members, and staff. Thanks to its facilities, the Sports City stands out as an exceptional model for supporting university sports and promoting public health in a stimulating academic environment.

Sports Stadium

The sports stadium includes an international football field with facilities for athletics, capable of hosting more than 700,000 spectators. It also features physiotherapy clinics and a digital scoreboard with a color display. The stadium has special parking spaces for over 1,000 cars. It includes three tennis courts, four volleyball courts, three basketball courts, three handball courts, in addition to a secondary football field.

Equestrian Club

This activity has been practiced at the university since 1395 H, and the club is located on the campus, covering an area of approximately 24,900 square meters. It contains 63 stables dedicated to horses and currently houses more than 23 horses for training and production purposes. The equestrian club was officially registered with the Saudi Equestrian Federation in 1311 H. The horses at the club are divided into those for training and education, show jumping, and production.

University Swimming Pool

Swimming activities are organized so that the morning period is dedicated to teaching swimming as part of the elective courses, while the evening period is reserved for training faculty teams and organizing matches between faculties. The pool also hosts training for the university's sports teams and supervises swimming activities for university members who have a membership subscription.

Sports Tent

The sports tent was opened by King Khalid bin Abdulaziz (may God rest his soul) in 1401 H. The tent is centrally air-conditioned and spans an area of 100 x 80 meters, with 2,000 seats. It serves various sports such as basketball, handball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, judo, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting, and free training. It also hosts various university events and celebrations. The tent has now become part of the university's female student campus. Additionally, activity halls are available in faculty buildings and student housing, expanding the range of sports services to include all members of the university community. The diverse sports activities contribute to enhancing public health and physical fitness, positively impacting the quality of life of the university community. It also provides a motivating environment for communication and social interaction between students, faculty, and staff, building a cohesive and positive university community.
